			Ney Rosauro's Concerto for Vibraphone and Percussion Ensemble is a wonderful showcase for any percussionist, on an instrument that doesn't have a very deep library in the classical world. This lyrical, colorful piece is sure to be an audience favorite for your percussion ensemble concert. Written in three movements, this concerto features Rosauro's rhythmic writing style that lies somewhere between folk Brazilian tunes and latin jazz. The outer movements combine lydian and mixolydian modes for a more rustic sound, while the middle movement acts as a lullaby. Highlight one of your strong players on the solo vibraphone part while keeping six other percussionists engaged in this lyrical piece.
