== Description ==<br />
Figures, Atmospheres & Dances was commissioned by percussion ensemble "Crescendo" Ooy-Zevenaar. This work is based on several musical figures. These motives appear throughout the work in different roles, shapes and instrumentation. The whole piece is played attacca, but can be divided into six sections. In each section new musical material is introduced and old material is reused and altered. This creates a unity for the listener who is at the same time stimulated to discover the new material and colors. In the final movement all the figures come together to create an overview of the material, ending in a final apotheosis.<br />
