			KREUZPUNKTE, two studies for percussion trio, is scored for claves, cowbell, tom toms (study one); four temple blocks, two congas or bongos and three sounding rods or marimba bars (study two). Influenced by the music of native South African tribes, the studies demand a great deal of concentration although the rhythms themselves are not difficult and there are no polyrhythms or meters. Each player is instructed to play each measure a certain number of times. Thus, all three performers do not begin each measure at the same time. The last page of the manuscript contains six short exercises for two performers which has nothing to do with the two studies. This page of exercises seems to have been added as an afterthought to fill a blank page. The notation is traditional and the printing is such that it presents no reading difficulties.
