	SOLOBUCH fur PAUKEN is a series of nine graduated Timpani solos. Mr. Fink has graded them as follows: Grade 1 -- Marsch, Toccatina, Scherzo, Allegretto; Grade 2 -- Impression, Rondo, Allegro, Vivace; Grade 3 -- Rockin, Timpani Recitative. The Directions for Playing Page explains the musical considerations the performer is to attain and also the kinds of mallets to use. There is some tuning within some of the solos and some mixed mallet use; however most of the solos have pre-set tuning. Four solos are for two timpani, two solos are for three timpani and three solos are for four timpani.
