Theatric no. 1 by Casey Cangelosi is an intriguing duet for two percussionists facing each other and playing on a single set of three Roto-toms. It's non-stop from beginning to end, creating an energetic drummy vibe. Both players need to be very in tune with one another to play this piece - each part involves a significant amount of unison and split rhythms with some tricky crossovers. And you must take care not to smack each other's fingers!
